The story of Grant Advance is a story that begins with a young executive director struggling to secure grant funding for their organization. If you’re a director or board member in your current organization, you are probably far too familiar with just how difficult it can be. But back when this all started, it was tougher. In efforts to find potential funders, we had decided that the grant funding process was too complex. It needed improvement, and it needed to be improved dramatically.
When the initial team met together to design our system, we gathered a group of people that had experience and knowledge, not just with technology, but with running non-profits and with fundraising. They became excited about the opportunity to invest their experience in developing a software solution specifically for grant funding. At this time, it was decided that it would be the team members that had served on the front lines that would drive the design and development of our software.
By putting themselves back in the position of their “inexperienced” selves, our founding members asked the simple question, “what would I have needed back then in order to be successful?”. It was an exciting challenge. It meant that every screen design, every button, and every function of the system had to be there for a very practical reason. If it did not make things easier, quicker, and more efficient, then it was back to the drawing board.
Since launching in 2014, Grant Advance has never left the drawing board. As much as we wish we could say otherwise, we understand that our systems are never perfect. No matter how big or how small, there is always room for improvement. We listen to the most pressing issues facing our clients and look for practical solutions to these real problems. It has been a fun and worthwhile pursuit that animates our entire team to continue to strive for excellence.

Grant Advance is an excellent platform for Not For Profit and NGO’s to use for their Fundraising and Grant application program. It is very extensive, well integrated, and has excellent support tutorials for the first time and seasoned users. I highly recommend this for anyone that is serious about taking fundraising to the next level for their organization
Using the Grant Advance program, we have sent out 55 letters in our first mailing asking for $1000 to be utilized by our kitchen program. We received 2 responses with $1000 each and one with $3000. We also have had 2 requests for more information which we have already sent out and are now pending approval. This is very exciting for us… we will continue to use Grant Advance…
